Achieve a modern look in Mango’s Modernist Resort

Mango introduces Spring-Summer Collection 2011. This new collection, called Modernist Resort, the brand is opting for a clean, modernist look with the emphasis on simple lines and minimalist silhouettes, which add energy through bright colours and graphic contrasts in stripes.

Fluidity is obtained through transparencies and lightweight fabrics, while the proportions are mischievously combined to achieve a modern look. Longer skirts evolve towards pencil and slightly fuller forms, offer movement and sensuality. Men’s sports wear details are added to the coordinated classics, soft tailoring and paper touch cotton fabrics. This produces boxy and A-line forms, which are contrasted with more flowing shapes.

The quest for this clean and modernist look is also reflected in the colour palette. Blocks of colour in bright lemon and green mint tones add an optimistic air, while watermelon pink, various nude and tan tones give the collection a utilitarian luxe look, with chic combinations that contrast with the light gold tones in the fastenings.

MANGO is an internationally famous multinational which designs, manufactures and markets women’s and men’s clothing and accessories.
